b) DAY- NRLM: Under NRLM, self-help groups of women save and borrow money for their mutual benefit. SHGs provide an
opportunity for individuals to start small businesses and generate income.

           c) Microfinance: Microfinance is a financial service that provides small loans and other financial services to people who are
unable to access traditional banking services. Microfinance can help individuals to start businesses and generate income.
           d) Agriculture and allied activities: Agriculture and allied activities are an important source of livelihood for many people in
rural areas. Various schemes are implemented to promote agriculture and allied activities, such as National Horticulture
Mission (NHM), National Livestock Mission (NLM), and more.

           e) Skill Development: Skill development is essential to enhance livelihood opportunities in villages. Various skill development
schemes are implemented, such as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen
              Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), and more.

           f) Health and Sanitation: Access to healthcare and sanitation is essential for poverty reduction. Various schemes are

           g) XV Finance Commission: The untied grants of XV finance commission fund can be utilized for felt needs of the village and
the tied grants for Water & sanitation
The Panchayat will look to access and use the various resources so that it is able to address the needs and evolve plans that would
address various dimensions of poverty and not just look at it as sanction of benefits under an income generating scheme. The priority
areas should align with the identified needs and opportunities of the village, as well as what different schemes offer; which is the
easiest to get and access as low hanging fruits.

         Planning a time frame

It is important to consider both short-term and long-term planning time frames in order to create effective and sustainable plans that
can adapt to changing circumstances over time. Further, the fact that slipping back into poverty is very possible, the GP plan would
be able to look at preventive aspects and create a safety net, and provide other needed support. Increase in incomes and enhanced
livelihoods is aspirational and the indicators provide scope to not only address poverty but also look at economic growth, and
         accordingly plan the process.

Some indicators of Poverty, such as access to PDS, availability of IHHL, FHTC, will need much less time than the actual income
increases over a sustained course of time. MNREGA would be an immediate solution but would be along with other income streams
as this covers 100 days, and is the basic minimum of work guarantee.
