ANNEXURE—II: REPORT



           Consultative Workshop with GPs and Field Officers on LSDGs, Themes, Targets and

                         Local Indicator Framework of Panchayat Development Index

         Context: Ministry of Panchayat Raj, GoI had constituted a Committee under the Chairmanship of Ms. Jayashree
         Raghunandan, IAS, ACS, GoTN to give policy advice on Measures for assessing progress on localising SDGs with PRIs

         and the Panchayat Development Index. The MoPR taking forward the achieving of SDGs in GPs, has identified 9 LSDG
         themes to be implemented in rural areas with PRIs. The 9 themes adopted by MoPR are: -

                   Theme 1 - Poverty free and enhanced livelihoods village


                   Theme 2 - Healthy village


                   Theme 3 - Child friendly village


                   Theme 4 - Water sufficient village


                   Theme 5 - Clean and Green village


                   Theme 6 - Self-sufficient infrastructure in village


                   Theme 7 - Socially Just and Socially Secured village



                   Theme 8 - Village with Good Governance


                   Theme 9 - Women Friendly village


         This thematic approach is in evolving stage and needs continued deliberations and consultations with stakeholders right
         from local government ERs, functionaries to Block and District officers along with agencies such as UNICEF, UNDP
         and the like. One such critical area of LSDGs to be evolved is the measures to assess progress.

         At  the  request  of  the  Committee  Dr  Mallinath  Kalshetti,  DDG,  YASHADA,  Member  of  the  PDI  Committee,  has
         organised 3-day Consultative Workshop including a field visit so as to obtain the views of the GPs on the LIF and assess
         the  availability  of  data  in  the  GP.  The  Workshop  was  held  between  Jun  29-Jul  1,  2022  at  YASHADA  Pune  in

         partnership  with  UNICEF  Maharashtra  involving  Consultation  with  GP  Presidents  and  Secretaries,  as  well  as  field
