There appears to be no correlation between the availability of PHC in a gram panchayat to the thematic score of the GP
on theme “Healthy Village”. This highlights the importance of sub thematic performance – grouped indicators and
indicators - under each theme which can then help in identifying the areas of concern that need attention.
The focus and strategy can perhaps be addressed jointly by the Department field functionaries and the PRIs. And as the
information gets aggregated, at District, State and National level in Health plans and approvals. The integration of the
Village Health Plan into the GPDP can be better done with the indicators and KPIs becoming common, as well as the
Resolution of the Ministries, and Joint Advisory on Theme 2 reaching the field. The Resolution of the Ministries and the
Joint Advisory on Health is placed in Annexure-X.
